Just because you're out the FEMA floodplain, doesn't mean you're out of the water. Often the city or county have more stringent requirements than FEMA. We can help get you what you need to get your project moving forward. We've obtained floodplain permits for projects throughout the Metroplex and much of Texas. We will save you time and money by streamlining the floodplain permitting process.
Have a property and not sure what to do with it? Worried about the impacts a proposed project may have downstream? Upstream properties flooding your property? We provide solutions! Our team can analyze your situation with the best and most affordable tools for the job.
Are you looking to develop a property? You will likely need a detention basin. Detention basins are the best way to mitigate increases in flows from your property. Our trained engineers can help you design a detention basin that will fit your project needs. Whether discharging into a storm sewer, street, or channel, we can design a detention basin that can fit your project needs.
Do you have a channel on your property that is eroding and causing issues? Or you are looking to create a new channel. We can help. Waterway Engineering has the expertise to design a channel that will meet you project needs and last the test of time.
Are you, like many Texans, the proud owner of dam? Texas is the State with the most dams in the US with over 7,000. Many of these dams were built for sediment control or by local property owners to retain some water. While most of these dams are small and not regulated by the State, it is still the responsibility of the dam owner to maintain and keep their dam safe. The first step in that process is an Emergency Action Plan (EAP). An EAP will help guide the emergency response if your dam were to ever fail. The EAP includes inundation maps to determine possible flooding extents of a dam failure.
Waterway Engineering has the experience in both inundation mapping and EAPs to get you what you need and put your mind at ease.
Looking to construct a new dam or improve an existing one? We can help. Waterway Engineering has the technical experience for sizing dams and spillways. Whether it is designing the spillway and outlet structure or determining the downstream impacts, we can help. We team with structural and geotechnical engineers to design a safe and effective dam.
